Theo is a photographer living in Brooklyn, New York and earns a modest income creating wedding portraits for young couples. His curious, voyeuristic sideline provides him with all the artistic challenges he needs: with their permission, Theo secretly follows his clients and photographs them in public places. A painfully erotic obsession develops out of one job he takes on from a client named Subgirl. This secretive blond and the strangers she meets turn Theo into an amateur detective – but ultimately doubt descends on his own relationship with singer Nat. Thoughts of his upcoming wedding fill him with uncertainty and apprehension.
