Million Dollar Baby

Frankie Dunn, an old-school fight trainer, takes the wildly determined female boxer Maggie under his wing with reluctance. While making her into a ‘Million Dollar Baby’, fatherly feelings begin to surface. Her big fight ends in tragedy, and he is faced with a moral dilemma. Haggis’ screenplay initially begins with the genre clichés of sport film but ultimately ends as a rich and complex tragedy.
