by Apichatpong Weerasethakul
Scottish botanist Jessica is visiting her sister in Colombia. During her stay, however, she is increasingly haunted by a loud noise that seems to sound audible only to her. Plagued by sleepless nights, she decides to get to the bottom of the noise's origin. Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the Thai master of dream and ghost cinema, takes us into the Colombian jungle on the introspective journey of a woman hauntingly embodied by Tilda Swinton. MEMORIA is a lyrical and meditatively decelerating film experience.
