Melancholia

Downhearted Justine has decided to put the sparkle back into her life by marrying the handsome Michael in an extravagant wedding ceremony. But getting there proves a bit tricky, when the white limousine becomes stuck in the narrow lanes leading to the castle, causing the bridal pair to arrive late. A bad star is quite literally hovering over the wedding: the planet Melancholia is heading towards Earth and threatens to end all life. While Justine makes her her romantic arrangements for the inevitable end, her sister Claire, whose feet are on much firmer ground, becomes increasingly fearful. MELANCHOLIA tells the story of two contrasting sisters against the backdrop of an approaching apocalypse.
