Vincent takes sedatives, but still can’t sleep peacefully. After recently returning to southern France from Afghanistan, he is still battling with the experiences of war. Vincent soon finds a job as a private security guard working to ensure the safety of a wealthy Lebanese businessman and his family. When his client makes a trip abroad, Vincent suddenly finds himself alone with his wife, Jessie, on the swanky ‘Maryland’ estate.
