Newly separated, Lydia throws herself into her job as a midwife, the main objective being to distract herself from her heartbreak. When best friend Salomé suddenly announces she's pregnant, Lydia has one more reason to continue not taking time out for herself. Iris Kaltenbäck grew up in France where she studied law and philosophy. She later enrolled at La Fémis film school and trained there as a screenwriter. In 2013, she worked at a prestigious theater as an assistant to director Declan Donnellan.
