La Vie d'Adèle – Chapitres 1 et 2

Abdellatif Kechiche|Beziehungsdrama

At night, Adèle dreams of the woman with blue hair she recently met while out walking – an unexplainable longing burns inside the high school student. The blue-haired woman’s name is Emma and she studies at the art academy. When the two women meet again, Adèle is completely enraptured by the peculiar passion of her new friend. Together they set out on a journey of sexual discovery and love with all its beautiful and burdensome aspects. Several years later the two are getting to know each other in a different light in a house they now share. Told in a natural and sensitive way, director Abdellatif Kechiche invites us to follow the couple’s love story over a period of several years. This film won a surprising yet deserved Golden Palm at Cannes.
