The young hen Turuleca is teased by everyone because she can’t lay eggs. She blossoms, however, when given a new home by music lover Isabel, who discovers Turuleca’s hidden talent: she can talk and sing beautifully. Out of joy, they make music and dance together, but then Isabel falls and has to be taken to hospital. Determined to find her friend again, Turuleca embarks on an adventurous journey. When she comes across an almost bankrupt circus, she not only makes new friends, but also puts her talents to use in unexpected ways. Brimming with charm, humour and music, the Spanish animated film LA GALLINA TURULECA tackles such topics as exclusion, solidarity and the courage to be different. Recommended for age 4 or older
