They fell as children into the deepest abyss – but is there a way for them to get back into society? CAIN’S CHILDREN tells the story of three men with a dark past: Pali, József and Zsolt became murderers at the early ages of 14 to 15, and spent a large part of their lives behind bars at the highest security prison in then-communist Hungary. Using striking yet disturbing archival film footage from the time of their detention, the three men reflect on their actions – and their future prospects. Thirty years have passed, and the three have paid the price for their actions. Now they must find their place in a completely different Hungarian society. Filmmaker Marcell Gerö accompanies the three men in their day-to-day lives.
