Je suis Karl

Maxi’s life flies off the rails after an assassination attempt in Berlin. Apart from her father, nobody else survived the explosion. Completely overwhelmed by her trauma, Maxi just wants to get away from Berlin. When she meets the helpful and charismatic Karl, his offer to accompany him to Prague for a student reunion seems like perfect timing. However, with his enticing lifestyle and seemingly huge circle of friends, Karl draws her deeper and deeper into a new radical right-wing movement that wants to make fundamental changes to Europe. Director Christian Schwochow tackles a complex and highly topical subject in the form of a gripping thriller carried by the fantastic acting duo Luna Wedler and Jannis Niewöhner.
