Ten-year-old Jakob has a hard time: His parents have never been there for him, and both are in prison! He doesn’t feel at home in his foster family either, despite their loving care. Then, when he meets the enchanting Janina Bella, he falls head over heels in love with her. But Janina’s best friend Emily follows her wherever she goes, which increasingly frustrates Jakob. Soon, a dark desire grows within him to get rid of Emily. Will his foster sister be able to stop him from making a disastrous mistake? The short film JAKOB was created as part of the “ZFF for Kids Studio” and was filmed by children for children under the guidance of coaches from the Zurich film school filmkids.ch.
