"We can't afford to be afraid" are the echoes of the mass protest in Hong Kong in November 2019. Protesters protect themselves from rubber bullets with colourful umbrellas. Shortly after, they find themselves surrounded by police inside the red-brick walls of the Polytechnic University. Initial courage turns to despair as provisions run low, and turning themselves in means arrest - or much worse. Made anonymously and banned in Hong Kong, INSIDE THE RED BRICK WALL is a documentary from the heart of the protest movement, conveying first-hand the tangible intensity of what is happening.
