Robert drives his beetle at full speed into the river Elbe. His half-hearted attempt at suicide is thwarted by a sandbank. Robert finds dry clothes at Bruno’s. And so begins a friendship that offers a fresh start for both, and opens up their eyes to the possibilities that lie ahead of them.
