It serves as an alternative programme for the International Film Music Competition, which will not take place this year. Short Film Contest for the International Film Music Competition 2021 With the support of its Main Partners, Zurich Film Festival joins forces with the Tonhalle-Gesellschaft Zürich AG and Forum Filmmusik to launch a new short film competition after the 16th Zurich Film Festival. The winning short film will be chosen as the film to be scored for the International Music Competition (IFMC) 2021. The best three compositions of the IFMC will then be premiered live by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich during the 17th ZFF. The aim is to further strengthen the link between film and music and thus between filmmakers and composers.
