Pit is a beauty product representative. If he is to maintain a secure income, he not only has to sell the products but also find new sales representatives. This he appears to do with nonchalant ease and he pulls off the successful businessman image. In reality, however, Pit is almost bankrupt. In desperation, he tries to convince his old colleagues to become representatives – amongst them is his early love Christiane, whom he still holds a torch for. Prudently avoiding all explanation, Pit is forced to move in with his son and his girlfriend when he loses his own apartment. He becomes increasingly entangled in the web of lies he tells his son, his customers and, last but not least, to Christiane.
