Cornelis

Amir Chamdin|Biopic

Swedish troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk began his career with album “Ballader och oförskämdheter“ – Ballads and impertinencies. This charismatic poet, singer-songwriter and composer was a complex character; sometimes shy, sometimes eccentric, and lived an uncompromisingly wild life during the ‘60s and ‘70s. He was adored by some for his sharp-tongued lyrics and despised by others for his non-conformist lifestyle. When Swedish state radio censured his lyrics, Vreeswijk instantly forbade any further radio play for any of his music. CORNELIS relates directly, yet sensitively and poetically, the life of a contradictory music legend.
