One rainy night, a desperate So-young drops off her new-born baby at a church centre's baby box. Dong-soo, who works there, and his buddy Sang-hyun sniff a deal: They secretly take the baby and place it with a family, earning good money. But suddenly the young mother is back at the door – and she wants her son. In their plight, the two crooks are able to convince So-young to accompany them on their search for an adoptive family. Together, they embark on a turbulent road trip through South Korea – unaware that the police are already hot on their heels. Japanese master director Hirokazu Kore-eda perfectly stages PARASITE star Song Kang-ho and delivers a beautiful road movie about family and belonging.
