Mia can hardly believe it, but it appears her toes are slowly but surely growing together. The teenage girl and her parents recently moved to a new apartment in a concrete block in Zurich. However, the teenager has difficulty finding a common language with her parents anyway. Not without reason, she chooses those to be her new friends at school who promise to offer her the greatest amount of adventure and escapism. Strangulation games, sex and drugs – Mia plunges headlong into any testing of her courage that will express her immense desire to belong. Before long a world as exciting as it is angry opens up in front of Mia and she finds herself exposed to an overwhelming upheaval that threatens to swallow her whole like the powerful waves of an ocean.
