The teacher Antoinette only has eyes for Vladimir, her secret lover and the father of one of her students. For months, the mid-forty-year-old has been feverishly awaiting the summer vacations for a week of passion together. But the romantic vacation won’t happen, because Vladimir has to cancel at the last second after his wife spontaneously booked a family hiking trip. Antoinette is disappointed, but she doesn’t hang around for long. Accompanied by Patrick, a stubborn donkey, she dons a straw hat, grabs a pink roller case and tails them along their hiking route in the Cévennes National Park. Director Caroline Vignal tells the summery story of a determined woman and her trusty beast of burden.
