by Anders Skovbjerg Jepsen
Six-year-old Anders and 13-year-old Peter are best friends. Their families go on summer holidays together every year. But behind the boys' friendship is lurking a dark secret: Peter repeatedly sexually abuses Anders. Years later, when both are adults, Anders confronts Peter with the repressed memories. In A SILENT STORY, the director shares his own most vulnerable experiences - driven by a craving for radical honesty and the desire to finally break a silence that is filled with guilt and shame. A deeply moving and courageous film about a thoroughly taboo subject.
