At the heart of the pulsating multicultural district of Berlin-Neukölln, the Lebanese gang boss Ali „Toni“ Hamadi claims four blocks of bars, gambling halls and strip clubs as is own. He built this small empire together with his hot-headed brother, Abbas, but would like nothing more than to give the whole lot up – not least for the sake of his wife and daughter. When his brother-in-law is arrested during a police raid, a cycle of violence begins which, once again, sees Toni take on the role of gang leader while the dream of a ‘legal’ life moves further and further away. 4 BLOCKS is a highly topical gangster epic about the struggle for power and identity in a present-day Berlin.
