The picturesque highlands in the heart of Papua New Guinea not only attract tourists in search of indigenous exoticism, but also foreign corporations in search of raw materials. The promise of money and modernisation has persuaded a Huli family to sell their land to U.S. corporation ExxonMobil. Filmmaker Céline Rouzet accompanies the locals caught between rival clans, corrupt politicians and a seemingly cynical multinational corporation. Powerless, they must watch their land disappear while tourists take photo snapshots of dances that have lost their meaning a long time ago.
