Film Music Competition

Once a year the Zurich Film Festival and the Tonhalle-Gesellschaft Zürich AG collaborate with the Forum Filmmusik to present the International Film Music Competition. The global competition requires film composers to create and submit their original musical score for a given short film.

This year, film musicians are asked to submit their original symphony orchestra score for AU REVOIR JÉRÔME. The short film by Adam Sillard, Chloé Farr and Gabrielle Selnet is a multifaceted and bittersweet love story playing in the afterlife. The scores can be submitted via the official Film Music Competition website between April 3 and June 2. A jury of international experts from the fields of film and music will choose three finalists, whose compositions will be world premiered by the Tonhalle Zurich Orchestra during the annnual Cinema in Concert event during the Zurich Film Festival.
