    "Sennentuntschi" as opening film

    The Swiss feature film "Sennentuntschi", directed by Michael Steiner, will be shown as the opening movie of the 6th Zurich Film Festival on September 23. Moritz Leuenberger will visit the festival as an official representative of the Federal Council of Switzerland.

    Golden Icon to Michael Douglas

    Michael Douglas will receive the Golden Icon Award for his life’s work. Douglas had already agreed to collect the award in Zurich before he received the news that he had cancer. The award will now be collected on his behalf by his school day friend Danny DeVito.

    Oscar winner Milos Forman will receive the Festival’s prestigious Golden Eye Award for his life work as a director. The filmmaker will accept the award personally.
