Career Award Tim Bevan & Screening ABOUT TIME

by Richard Curtis Guests of Honour

Tim Bevan is one of the most successful film producers of our time. In 1983, this native New Zealander founded the London-based production company „Working Title Films“, which he has run together with his business partner Eric Fellner since 1992. Bevan has produced such films as MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDRETTE, the blockbuster BRIDGET JONES’S DIARY, ATONEMENT and ELIZABETH – the latter two each brought him an Oscar nomination. Tim Bevan will receive the Career Achievement Award.

ABOUT TIME: It’s New Year’s Eve and the father of 21-year-old Tim has just revealed an ancient secret: Like all male members of his family, Tim has the ability to travel through time. He has no serious intention of changing the course of world history, but the course of his own life could do with some tweaking. A short time later, Tim takes up his first job in chaotic London where he meets and falls head over heels in love with Mary. But Tim suddenly finds himself in the past where a friend needs his help. Seen logically, the meeting with Mary never took place, and in order to re-conquer his love Tim must first outsmart time – but that is no easy task.
