Petite fille

Border Lines
Sasha has to go to school in boys’ clothes. But one thing has always been clear to her: when she grows up, she will be a girl. Even her parents soon realised how urgent the wish of their daughter, who is now 8 years old and was born in the body of a boy, is. They work tirelessly to ensure that Sasha can be herself at all times, even at school. Director Sébastien Lifshitz follows Sasha and her family’s daily life, capturing their discussions with a therapist and the school administration. PETITE FILLE is the deeply touching portrait of a child who, by naturally questioning her body, offends a society that is rooted in a biological boy-girl thinking.
