12-year-old Abby moves into the apartment next door to Owen, an outsider of the same age. The two soon become friends, but when their small town is gripped by a series of brutal murders, Owen has to admit to himself that his new friend is not as innocent as she first appeared. This remake of the art house hit LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (2008) skilfully combines the genre elements of horror with the drama of a coming-of-age story.
