The Burnt Orange Heresy

by Giuseppe Capotondi Gala Premieres

Set in present day Italy, charismatic art critic James Figueras hooks up with provocative and alluring fellow American, Berenice Hollis. After spending a night together, James asks her for a favour: whether she will accompany him on a trip to Lake Como to visit an eccentric art collector. Arriving at his picturesque estate, James receives the immoral assignment to retrieve the latest work by legendary artist Jerome Debney – no matter how. Debney has become withdrawn a long time ago, however, refusing to let anybody enter his studio. Ironically, Berenice is the one who gains personal access to the stubborn old man, and, unfortunately, becomes an obstacle for James and his mission. Featuring dazzling performances from Claes Bang, Elizabeth Debicki, Mick Jagger and Donald Sutherland, THE BURNT ORANGE HERESY is a brilliantly staged neo-noir thriller.
