When there are lives to be saved, Oleg could not care less about his new boss’s efficiency-enhancing regulations. He is a passionate paramedic, immersing himself completely in his job. His wife Katya, who is an emergency room doctor herself, loves her unconventional husband. It does, however, pain her greatly to see him care more for his patients and Russia’s crumbling health system than their relationship. When Katya talks of divorce one day, Oleg is completely shocked. He loves her dearly – but is unsure as to how to show his affection in his hectic everyday life.
