by Jonathan Levine Gala Premieres

Adam is 27 years old. He doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke and he steers well clear of drugs. He is a nice, clean-cut guy who lets the teasing of his best friend, perpetual joker Kyle, wash over him without a murmur of complaint. Then one day, Adam receives the devastating news that he is suffering from cancer and has a 50% chance of survival. To take Adam’s mind off things, Kyle does what he does best: provides the entertainment. Adam could, after all, play the sympathy card to get off with women, or finally enjoy a joint under doctor’s orders. This moving and entertaining tragi-comedy by director Johnathan Levine has a hopeful message - life does not necessarily lose its laughter when fate strikes a hard blow.
