Today’s honorary guest is Jerry Weintraub: The legendary producer picks up the ZFF’s Career Achievement Award today, his 75^th birthday. The documentary HIS WAY offers a wonderful insight into Jerry’s work. Presentation of the award and film screening at 18.15 in corso 1. Meanwhile in Arena 8, don’t miss the opportunity to compare the two KARATE KID films when the original from 1984 and the 2010 remake are screened back-to-back.  

The powerful and visually impressive French film PUNK by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire enters the International Feature Film Competition as a European premiere (21:30, Le Paris). ONE MONTH IN THAILAND, BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD and BROKEN round off the competition day in Le Paris.

Corso 4 offers the ideal opportunity to dive into the International Documentary Film Competition. PING PONG(12:00), THE MOSUO SISTERS (16:45), FOUR HORSEMAN (18.45) and CHINA HEAVYWEIGHT (21:30) are the four entries on today’s programme.
