Saturday Overview

22. September 2012

Today is packed full of film festival delights! Three world premieres top the bill: AVANTI, by Lausanne-based artist Emmanuelle Antille, sees Hanna Schygulla deliver an impressive performance (19:45, Le Paris). LEUCHTTURM, LEICHEN & PASTETEN (19:00, corso 2), screened in the presence of the film’s entire crew, is one of the festival’s highly anticipated films. THE MOSUO SISTERS, by American filmmaker Marlo Poras, follows the paths of two unlikely sisters in China (19:15, corso 4).

The melodrama KYSS MIG officially opens the New World View section “Sweden”. The drama PLAY, the thriller HAMILTON and a short film block round off the first Swedish film day. The much-looked forward to Sweden Party carries the theme into the night at the Papiersaal with a concert and DJs. Don’t miss it!

Kids and families take your seats at 13:30 for the fantasy film MODRY TYGR. Screened in the original language and simultaneously translated into to German in the theatre, this is guaranteed to be a unique experience for the little ones.
