Monday: A Cinematic Start to the Week
24. September 2012Monday sees the screening of three huge premieres: Ben Affleck's ARGO, Helen Hunt's new film THE SESSIONS and last but not least THE WORDS. Lovers of glamorous premieres as well as friends of outstanding indie cinema will find what they like at ZFF. Christian Labhart’s highly anticipated new work APPASSIONATA celebrates it's World Premiere at the ZFF (19:00, Le Paris). British competition entry FOUR HORSEMAN takes a thoroughly interesting look at the economic crisis (19:00, corso 4). The premiere of the Polish competition entry W SYPIALNI / IN A BEDROOM, the german competition entry MARK LOMBARDI and the screening of Hans-Christian Schmid’s latest film WAS BLEIBT are on offer in the evening programme.
Legendary Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub will give a Public Zurich Master Class 18.30 at Filmpodium.The OCEAN’s trilogy by Jerrry Weintraub and Steven Soderbergh awaits rediscovery in Arena 8 from 13.00. Swedish cinema will be celebrated today with the screenings of AVALON (19.15, in presence of director Axel Petersen) and SHE MONKEYS (21.15, Arena 9, in presence of actress Linda Molin).
