German-Language Documentary Film Competition: A Glimpse at Humans and Society17. September 2012
In PROZESS, we experience a Kafkaesque trial against 13 animal rights activists that leads to trust in the judicial system and democracy being put to a very tough test – more exciting and authentic than any thriller. SOULS OF ZEN connects the Japanese people’s reaction to the Fukushima tragedy with their Buddhist tradition – and casts a fresh, highly topical eye on Japan. We get to know the Andalusian coast from a different angle in SAN AGUSTIN, a film that takes an acute and humorous look at Europe’s vegetable garden. REVISION ultimately asks two (apparently) very simple questions: Why did two men die on a beautiful summer morning in the middle of a cornfield? Where the two really mistaken for wild boar? The basis for a thriller with the borders of Europe at its core.
