Day 2: Friday at a Glance

Helen Hunt is the focus of attention on day two of the festival: The US actress will be honoured with the Golden Eye for her outstanding acting career. Her latest film THE SESSIONS can be seen at 21:00, corso 1. Autographs and photos at the Green Carpet from 20:00 onwards. Two of her greatest works, THEN SHE FOUND ME and AS GOOD AS IT GETS, will be screened in corso 3 today.

All four competition categories see various films step up to the mark in the race for the coveted Golden Eyes. The world premiere screening of the German entry SOULS OF ZEN is one of the films on the programme (21:15, corso 4). You can also look forward to US comedian Mike Birbiglia’s performance in SLEEEPWALK WITH ME (21:15, Arena 5).KAPRINGENTHE WORLD BEFORE HERPING PONG3 ZIMMER/KÜCHE/BADTRANSPAPA and OUTING are also billed for today – each screened in the presence of the film’s respective filmmaker.

Out-of-Competition films that light up Zurich’s screens today include the French-Belgian-Swiss co-production A PERDRE LA RAISON (18:15, Le Paris) and Thomas Vinterberg’s latest work JAGTEN (18:15, corso 1). Enjoy the soothing soul of Min King in the ZFF Night Lounge (22:00, NZZ Bistro by Tibits, free entry).
